Tawang, March 30:
The preparatory phase for Census 2027 gained momentum in Arunachal Pradesh as a training programme for Field Trainers commenced at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Tawang on Monday.
The session is being conducted under the guidance of Master Trainer Dr. Dargey Tsering, Statistical Verification Officer (SVO), along with Shri Manturaj Nath, Research Officer (Map), from the Directorate of Census Operations, Arunachal Pradesh.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, Namgyal Angmo, IAS, underscored the crucial responsibility of field trainers in ensuring the success of the nationwide census exercise. She emphasized that trainers must develop a clear and comprehensive understanding of procedures to effectively guide enumerators and field staff. Highlighting the importance of accuracy and accountability, she stated that reliable census data forms the backbone of policy planning and developmental initiatives across the country.
Earlier, Additional District Census Officer Tenzin Jambey welcomed the participants and introduced the master trainers. He encouraged trainees to actively participate in the sessions, raise queries, and maintain focus throughout the programme to maximize learning outcomes.
Master Trainer Dr. Dargey Tsering expressed confidence in the trainees, stating that the programme would equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to efficiently train field-level personnel ahead of the census operations.
The training programme marks a significant step in strengthening groundwork for Census 2027, ensuring improved preparedness, accuracy, and efficiency in data collection across Tawang district.
