Sambo Lapung once again brought pride to Arunachal Pradesh by securing a gold medal in the 110 kg men’s weightlifting category at the first edition of the Khelo India Tribal Games held in Chhattisgarh.
Popularly known as Arunachal’s “Golden Boy,” Lapung showcased an exceptional performance, adding another major achievement to his name. His victory reflects both his dedication and strength, while also strengthening Arunachal’s presence on the national sports stage.
The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games marks a significant initiative by the Government of India to identify, nurture, and promote sporting talent from tribal communities across the country.
