Longding, June 12:
A heartwarming story of courage, determination, and the power of inclusive education has emerged from Inter Village School, Konnu, under Pongchau Circle in Longding district, where a seven-year-old child with 70 percent physical disability has taken his first step toward formal education.
Manphung Wangsa, son of Laiwang Wangsa of Konnu Village, was recently enrolled in Class I at Inter Village School despite significant physical challenges. His enrollment has drawn admiration from educators, community members, and well-wishers across the district.
Sharing the inspiring moment on social media, the Headmaster of the school, Longnu Pansa, expressed his appreciation for the child's unwavering spirit.
"Despite his physical barriers, he managed to come to our school today and got enrolled. His name is Manphung Wangsa, son of Laiwang Wangsa of Konnu Village. He was given a school bag and books from the school. Really appreciate his courage and zeal for learning," the Headmaster wrote.
The school authorities welcomed the young student by providing him with essential educational materials, including books and a school bag, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring that every child has access to education regardless of physical limitations.
Manphung's determination to pursue education despite his disability serves as a powerful example for children and youth not only in Longding district but throughout Arunachal Pradesh. His story highlights the importance of resilience, hope, and the transformative role education can play in overcoming life's challenges.
Equally commendable is the compassionate support extended by the school administration, which reflects the growing emphasis on inclusive education and equal opportunities for all children. Such initiatives help create an environment where students with disabilities can learn, grow, and realize their full potential.
The inspiring journey of Manphung Wangsa stands as a reminder that no physical challenge is too great when determination is met with encouragement, support, and access to education. It also underscores the collective responsibility of communities and institutions to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, is given the opportunity to learn and succeed.
