Two emergency delivery referral cases from District Hospital Daporijo in Upper Subansiri district resulted in safe births after timely intervention by ambulance pilots and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who conducted successful mid-route deliveries while transporting the patients for further medical care.
According to the update, ambulance vehicle 4550, operated by Pilot Taba Byaling and EMT Kajiv Kena, attended one referral case and safely conducted a delivery between Tamen and Boasimla while en route.
In another case, ambulance vehicle 4380, handled by Pilot Logam Hangkar and EMT Kudi Gumsar, also carried out a successful delivery halfway during the journey.
Both emergency responses resulted in the birth of healthy baby boys, highlighting the timely intervention and coordinated efforts of the ambulance personnel.
