Yupia, April 2:

The 1st Edition of the Inter College Football Championship, 2026 commenced at Golden Jubilee Stadium, Yupia, bringing together student teams from across Arunachal Pradesh in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and unity.

Organised by the Arunachal United Foundation under the aegis of the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association, the championship is guided by the motto “One Voice, One Arunachal.” The initiative aims to promote discipline, teamwork, and healthy competition among the youth, while also providing a strong platform to identify and nurture emerging football talent across the state.

The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from colleges, reflecting the growing interest in football and the spirit of camaraderie among students. Beyond competition, the event seeks to strengthen bonds of unity and brotherhood, encouraging young players to showcase their skills and determination.

Adding a meaningful dimension to the championship, organisers have dedicated all proceeds from ticketing towards supporting orphanages, old age homes, and physically challenged individuals. This humanitarian effort highlights the role of sports as a vehicle for social good and collective responsibility.
