Tuting, March 20, 2026:
The Indian Army celebrated the International Day of Happiness with a special outreach programme at a border village in Tuting, engaging with the local monastic community at a prominent monastery.
Held under the theme “Compassion at the Frontiers: Building Happiness Together,” the event was organised with the guiding motto “Caring and Sharing.” A total of 83 monks participated in the programme, which aimed to promote wellbeing, strengthen civil–military relations, and foster a sense of mutual understanding in the region.
The celebration began with a traditional prayer ceremony, followed by interactive activities designed to encourage participation and engagement. These included fun games and a Buddhism-themed quiz, creating a lively and positive atmosphere among attendees.
