Himanta Biswa Sarma Visits Shrideshwar Nath Temple in Ziro Ahead of Assam Polls

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma on Saturday visited the Shrideshwar Nath Temple at Kardo in Ziro, under Lower Subansiri district, ahead of the final phase of the Assam Legislative Assembly Elections 2026.

Upon his arrival in Ziro, the Chief Minister was accorded a warm reception by Hapoli MLA Hage Appa, Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, along with other district officials, members of the Shrideshwar Nath Temple Committee (SNTC), and local residents. The reception was organized with active coordination between the district administration and local stakeholders, reflecting the significance of the visit.

During the visit, officials ensured smooth logistical arrangements, including security and public coordination. The Chief Minister interacted briefly with local representatives, community members, and attendees present at the site. The interaction provided an opportunity for informal engagement and acknowledgment of public participation.

The visit also reflects continued inter-state interaction between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, with participation from local leadership, administrative officials, and community organizations contributing to the overall conduct of the programme.
