Naharlagun A-Sector Hosts Two-Day Cleanliness Drive


Naharlagun, March 21, 2026:

A two-day Mass Social Service and Cleanliness Awareness Programme was successfully conducted at A-Sector, Naharlagun, under the initiative of the A-Sector Welfare Development Committee Youth Wing (ASWDCYW).

The programme witnessed active participation from youth volunteers and local residents, who came together to clean drains, remove waste, and promote awareness on hygiene and community responsibility. Corporator of Ward No. 18, Smti. Gigi Rena Camdir, also joined the drive on the ground, extending her support and working alongside participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Camdir lauded the collective efforts of the youths and residents, stating that their unity and commitment towards a cleaner and healthier environment was truly inspiring. She highlighted that the initiative builds upon the month-long awareness campaign conducted earlier and expressed her satisfaction in being part of the continued effort.

The event was organized under the leadership of ASWDCYW President Shri Aga Yangfo and General Secretary-cum-Organizing Chairman Shri Tarh Tanza. It also saw the presence and support of Er. Joram Temin, Assistant Engineer (IMC), and Shri Yamdo Agga, Ward Inspector (IMC).

Special appreciation was extended to the E-Sector Youth Welfare Association, led by Shri Gichik Tare, for their cooperation and contribution in strengthening community solidarity.

The programme concluded with a collective call for sustained community participation to ensure Ward No. 18 remains clean, safe, and livable for all.
