In a moment of immense pride for Arunachal Pradesh, Arunachal Vikas Parishad President Techi Gubin has been selected for the prestigious Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in recognition of his distinguished contribution to social service and public welfare.
Gubin is among the 113 eminent personalities from across the country who have been chosen for the Padma Shri this year. His inclusion in the list reflects decades of dedicated service towards the welfare of society and his unwavering commitment to the development of Arunachal Pradesh.
Aged 62, Gubin retired from government service in 2024 as the Chief Architect of Arunachal Pradesh. Throughout his professional career, he played a pivotal role in shaping the state's infrastructure landscape and contributed significantly to urban planning and architectural development. He also served as the Director of Housing under the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, where he was instrumental in implementing various housing and infrastructure initiatives aimed at improving public amenities and living conditions.
Beyond his administrative and professional achievements, Gubin has remained actively involved in social and community welfare activities. Through his leadership in the Arunachal Vikas Parishad and various public outreach initiatives, he has worked tirelessly for the betterment of society, earning respect and admiration from people across different sections of the state.
