Itanagar: In connection with Itanagar Police Station Case No. 102/25, the Itanagar Capital Police yesterday handed over one more seized vehicle to its rightful owner after due verification and completion of legal formalities. The handover forms part of a large-scale crackdown on an inter-state vehicle theft racket.

So far, police have seized over 70 stolen vehicles, including several high-end and luxury models, during the course of the investigation. Several accused persons have been arrested in the case, while efforts are ongoing to trace remaining links of the organised theft network. Many seized vehicles had already been handed over earlier to their owners following court orders.

The case is being investigated by Kengo Dirchi, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Investigating Officer, under whose supervision the recovery and restitution process is continuing.
