In a major success under the ongoing Anti-Narcotics Drive, enforcement agencies seized 240 kilograms of ganja during an early morning naka check at Bhalukpong on monday.
A Bolero pickup vehicle bearing registration number AR01-S-2865 was intercepted during the operation, leading to the recovery of 39 packets of ganja concealed inside the vehicle.
Two individuals, identified as Lucky Tame and Dilbag Singh, were arrested in connection with the seizure. The vehicle, along with mobile phones and the seized contraband, was confiscated and sealed in the presence of witnesses, strictly following due legal procedures.
Officials said the successful operation marks a significant step forward in the fight against drug trafficking and reaffirms the commitment of law enforcement agencies to curb narcotics-related activities and ensure public safety.
