Heema Hospital, a multi-specialty healthcare facility in Itanagar, successfully conducted the delivery of triplets on January 7 in a highly complicated and high-risk case. All three newborns are reported to be stable and in good health.

According to a press statement issued by the hospital, the rare and complex procedure demanded exceptional medical expertise, precision, and seamless coordination. The delivery was successfully carried out under the leadership of Dr. Syed Shelim Ahmed, despite the significant risks associated with such cases.

The first baby, a male weighing 1.6 kg, was delivered at 12:55 pm, followed by a female baby weighing 1.8 kg at 12:56 pm, and another female weighing 1.3 kg at 12:57 pm. Notably, all three babies were delivered safely within a span of just two minutes.

The hospital highlighted that at a time when many medical facilities were hesitant to take up such a high-risk case, Dr. Ahmed accepted the challenge, demonstrating exceptional dedication, skill, and professionalism.

The coordinated efforts of doctors, nurses, and support staff were instrumental in ensuring the successful outcome. Heema Hospital expressed pride in the achievement and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate, and life-saving healthcare, even in the most challenging situations.
