Santilly Pul Wins Bronze at Inter-University Pencak Silat Championship

 


Punjab, March 17, 2026:

In a notable achievement, Miss Santilly Pul from Arunachal Pradesh secured a Bronze Medal at the All India Inter-University Pencak Silat Women’s Championship held at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, from March 14 to March 17, 2026.

The championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports of the host university under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), brought together top university athletes from across the country to compete in various Pencak Silat events.

Hailing from Walla village under Hawai Circle in Anjaw district, Santilly Pul is the daughter of Shri Soraplum Pul. Her journey from a remote region of Arunachal Pradesh to achieving a podium finish at a national-level university championship highlights her dedication and perseverance.

She trained under the guidance of her coach, Shri Bisu Tailu, who played a key role in preparing her for the competition. Through disciplined training and technical skill, she competed against strong contenders from different universities to secure the bronze medal.
