Khinsan Wangsu Wins Taekwondo Gold at Inter-University Games 2026

Khinsan Wangsu from Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh brought laurels to the state by winning a gold medal in the Taekwondo (Poomsae category) at the prestigious All India Inter-University Games 2026, held at Fakir Mohan University, Odisha, from March 16 to 20.

The All India Inter-University Games is one of the country’s premier collegiate sporting events, drawing participation from universities across India and providing a competitive platform for emerging athletes to showcase their talent at the national level. Wangsu’s gold medal performance in such a highly competitive environment underscores her skill, discipline, and dedication to the sport.

Her achievement reflects not only individual excellence but also the growing sports culture in Arunachal Pradesh, particularly in disciplines like Taekwondo. It further highlights the increasing representation of athletes from the Northeast in national-level competitions.
