New Delhi, March 20, 2026:
Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, participated in the National Power Ministerial Meet held today at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar.
The high-level meeting brought together senior leaders, policymakers, and experts from across the country to deliberate on key challenges and opportunities in India’s power sector.
During the session, detailed discussions were held on several critical issues, including the financial viability of power distribution companies (DISCOMs), the proposed Electricity Amendment Bill, and the National Electricity Policy. The participants also focused on Resource Adequacy Planning and examined the role of states in achieving the ambitious target of adding 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by the year 2047.
