Pasighat, February 28, 2026:
In a significant outreach initiative, Army personnel from the Spearhead Division visited Padma Shri awardee Yanung Jamoh Lego in Pasighat, East Siang district, to promote stronger civil–military coordination.
The interaction aimed to foster mutual understanding between the Armed Forces and civil society while recognising her contributions to cultural preservation and community development. During the visit, soldiers engaged with the awardee and gained insights into the region’s rich indigenous heritage.
As a mark of respect, the Army contingent felicitated the Padma Shri awardee for her dedicated service to society and efforts in safeguarding cultural traditions.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to strengthening ties with local communities and promoting shared values of service, resilience, and national pride.
