The 2nd Edition of the Golden Pagoda Marathon was successfully conducted in Namsai on sunday, witnessing strong participation and a notable administrative presence. The event was attended by Chau Zingnu Namchoom Hon’ble MLA, Namsai, Puinyo Apum, MLA Dambuk, along with the Deputy Commissioner of Namsai and senior officers from Lohit district, reflecting official support for sports and fitness initiatives in the region.
Adding prominence to the marathon, Brand Ambassador Ankita Konwar, wife of renowned fitness icon Milind Soman, participated alongside accomplished athlete Hillang Yajik. Their presence motivated runners and highlighted the importance of fitness and endurance.
A major highlight of the event was the participation of Uday Kumar, the mountaineer and endurance runner widely known as the “One-Leg Mountaineer.” His strong finish drew widespread attention, making him a standout participant and an inspiration for athletes and spectators alike.
