Chief Minister Pema Khandu today extended his best wishes to Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, IPS, on his assumption of charge as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Chief Minister conveyed his greetings during a courtesy call paid by the newly appointed DGP earlier in the day. He expressed confidence that Jamwal’s experience and leadership would further strengthen policing and law enforcement in the state.

Meanwhile, Jamwal formally took charge as the new DGP of Arunachal Pradesh Police and was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the police headquarters on Thursday afternoon. Senior police officials and personnel were present on the occasion.

Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal brings with him vast experience in policing and administration, and his appointment is expected to reinforce the state police’s commitment to maintaining law and order while enhancing public safety across Arunachal Pradesh.
