On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, Ms. Yapi Pujan, a student of KGBV, Saw Mill, Pasighat, took charge as Officer-in-Charge of the Women Police Station (WPS), Pasighat, symbolically leading the station for a day.

During her tenure, Ms. Pujan actively patrolled the town, visited JE Examination Centres, listened to public grievances, briefed police personnel, and gained firsthand exposure to the day-to-day functioning of a police station.

The initiative offered her a rare and empowering insight into law enforcement and leadership, reinforcing confidence, responsibility, and self-belief.

The experience stands as a powerful reminder of the strength, capability, and limitless potential of the girl child, making the day both memorable and inspiring not only for Ms. Pujan, but for countless young girls who dare to dream.
