The APIYO team led by Taro Sonam Liyak, detained two scrap dealers during a routine verification drive in Chimpu, Itanagar, for operating without a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP).
The individuals were identified as Idul Mubaraq and Islamuddin. Upon questioning, both reportedly admitted that they were staying in Arunachal Pradesh without valid ILP documents and claimed they were residing with the knowledge of the respective property owners.
APIYO president Taro Sonam Liyak stated that the two would be handed over to the Chimpu Police Station for necessary legal procedures.
He also urged local residents not to extend support to ILP violators and appealed for greater vigilance in their neighborhoods to help prevent such violations.
The organization reiterated its commitment to safeguarding local laws and ensuring strict compliance with ILP regulations in the state.
