Gumin Mize Secures Bail, Trial to Continue

Lakhimpur/Itanagar, June 12:

Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Drugs Warriors (APADW) President Shri Gumin Mize has received relief after the Sessions Court in Lakhimpur, Assam, confirmed the ad interim bail granted to him earlier in connection with a case registered at Bihpuria Police Station. The development has been welcomed by his family members, supporters, and anti-drug activists across Arunachal Pradesh.

According to Shri Mize's legal team, the court on June 12 made the previously granted ad interim bail absolute, allowing him to remain on bail while the case proceeds. The trial, however, will continue in accordance with the directions of the court.

Members of the Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Drugs Warriors welcomed the court's decision and expressed confidence in the judicial process. They stated that they remain hopeful that the matter will be resolved fairly and transparently through due legal proceedings.

Supporters and colleagues of Shri Mize highlighted his long-standing contribution to the fight against drug abuse in Arunachal Pradesh. They noted his active involvement in anti-drug awareness campaigns, community outreach programmes, and initiatives aimed at educating young people about the dangers of substance abuse. They also reiterated that the organisation's mission to combat the growing menace of narcotics in the state remains unchanged and will continue with renewed commitment.

Reacting to the court's order, Shri Gumin Mize said that he has faith in the judicial process and believes that the truth will ultimately prevail. He further stated that the fight against the drug menace in the state would continue without interruption.

The Arunachal Pradesh Anti-Drugs Warriors also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening anti-drug awareness, prevention efforts, and community engagement programmes across the state.

The organisation stated that it would continue working towards protecting society, particularly the youth, from the harmful effects of drug abuse while pursuing its broader objective of building a drug-free Arunachal Pradesh.
