Bhalukpong, May 9:
As part of the ongoing intensive Inner Line Permit (ILP) checking drives being conducted across various police station jurisdictions under West Kameng district, the Bhalukpong Police Station team carried out a major verification drive at the industrial area in Tippi on Saturday.
During the operation, police officials inspected workers and individuals residing in the area to verify valid ILP documents. The drive resulted in the detection of 58 ILP violators from Platinum Alloy Pvt. Ltd., Tippi, who were found residing or working without valid Inner Line Permits.
Following the verification process, the police initiated legal proceedings by registering a Non-FIR Case (Part-IV) under the relevant provisions of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFR), 1873.
The case has been submitted before the Court of the Executive Magistrate, Bhalukpong, for further necessary action.
District Police officials stated that such intensive ILP checking drives will continue across West Kameng district to ensure strict enforcement of ILP regulations and to identify violators staying illegally in the state without proper documentation.
The police also appealed to industries, business establishments, contractors, and employers to ensure that all workers and employees possess valid ILP documents while residing and working in Arunachal Pradesh.
