𝐍𝐒𝐂𝐍-𝐊 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐩, 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝

 

Security forces arrested two active Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of the NSCN-K (Nikki Sumi) faction during coordinated operations in Khonsa market and Deomali areas of Tirap district.

The first OGW, identified as Khechan Khetey (30) of Old Paniduria village, Borduria, was apprehended in Khonsa while collecting extortion money. Security forces recovered a NSCN-K extortion note, a mobile phone, a SIM card, and CCTV footage linked to extortion activities.

Based on inputs obtained during interrogation, the operation was extended to Deomali, where another OGW, Danwang Maphouk of Lazu village, was caught extorting money from a shopkeeper. Cash amounting to Rs 3,93,140, along with mobile phones, SIM cards, and a handbag, was recovered.

Both accused and seized items have been handed over to Khonsa Police Station for further legal action.
