Good Samaritans Sponsor Students’ School Fees

 


Basar, April 23:

In a remarkable act of generosity, Shri Rigo Bam, son of Late Tori Bam, from Old Bam Village under Basar Circle, has taken the initiative to cover the school admission fees for all students of Classes X to XII at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Basar for the 2026–2027 academic session.

In a similar gesture, Dr. Todak Taba, son of Late Sento Taba, from Tai Village under Tirbin Circle, has committed to bearing the admission fees for students from Class I to X at Government Secondary School (GSS) Tai for the same session.

Appreciating their contributions, Basar MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi expressed deep admiration for the two individuals, describing their actions as an extraordinary example of community spirit and social responsibility. 

The MLA emphasized that education serves as a powerful equalizer and noted that by removing financial barriers, both donors are helping secure the future of many children.

On behalf of the 29th Basar (ST) Assembly Constituency, the MLA extended heartfelt gratitude to Shri Rigo Bam, a Section Officer, and Dr. Todak Taba,  a Senior Gynaecologist and Cancer Surgeon, for their impactful contribution. 

Their efforts are expected to benefit numerous families and inspire others to support educational initiatives in the region.

Their generosity stands as a shining example of how individual actions can create lasting positive change in society.
